Reviews, asked for
and answered.

Your reviews are the part of your Google profile you can’t write yourself. We set up a steady, compliant way to ask for them, reply to every one in your voice, report the ones that break Google’s rules, and show them on your website with RevuPress, the WordPress plugin we built. For local businesses across Long Island and the Hamptons.

Why it matters

“More reviews and positive ratings can help your business’s local ranking.”
Google Business Profile Help · “Tips to improve your local ranking on Google”

Google counts reviews toward prominence, one of the things that decide who shows up in the map pack, which is why reviews sit at the center of our local SEO. They also reach past the map. Review text is public, written in your customers’ own words, and it’s among the material AI answer engines can read when they describe your business. More on that in AI search optimization.

01 /How it works

Ask, answer,
report, show.

A system that runs every week, not a one-time push. Steady reviews beat a burst followed by silence.

01

Ask at the right moment.

A text after the job is done, a QR code on the counter card, a link on the receipt or the bag. Every customer gets the same direct link to your Google review form. Nobody is screened out first, and nothing is offered in return, because Google prohibits both.

02

Reply in your voice.

Every review gets a reply that sounds like you, not a template. Specific thanks for the good ones. For the bad ones, a calm, factual answer that takes the details offline. Google says replies show customers you value their feedback.

03

Report what breaks the rules.

Fake reviews, competitors, former employees, off-topic rants, harassment. We report them to Google under the policy they break, track the decision, and use the one appeal Google allows when it’s worth it. We don’t report reviews just because they sting.

04

Show it and measure it.

Your reviews on your own website, as real text in the page, with RevuPress on WordPress sites. Then the numbers, month to month: new reviews, your rating, replies sent and reports filed.

02 /What’s included

The whole review
routine, handled.

On its own, or as part of your local SEO or Google Business Profile management.

Setup

  • A review audit: your count, rating, reply history and any reviews worth reporting.
  • Your direct Google review link, plus QR codes sized for counter cards, receipts and bags.
  • Review-request texts written for your business, sent at the right point in the job.
  • A reply voice guide, so every answer sounds like the same person.
  • RevuPress installed and styled on WordPress sites, with your reviews synced in.

Every month

  • New reviews monitored and replied to in your voice.
  • Policy-breaking reviews reported to Google, with the outcome tracked.
  • A heads-up on any negative review that needs you, not just a reply.
  • Request timing and wording adjusted when the asks go quiet.
  • A plain-English report: new reviews, rating, replies and reports.
No bought reviews, no gating, no fake stars. Nothing that puts your profile at risk. Google Business Profile management ↗

03 /Built by us

We saw a problem.
We built the fix.

Most review plugins load your reviews from someone else’s server with a script, every time the page opens. The reviews aren’t really in your page, and they’re gone the day the vendor changes terms. That bothered us, so we built RevuPress, our own WordPress plugin, and it now runs on our clients’ sites. It’s a good example of how we work: when the off-the-shelf tool falls short, we build the right one.

  • Pulls your Google reviews on a schedule and stores them in your own website’s database.
  • Shows them as plain HTML from your own server, so the review text is actually in your page for customers and search engines. No widget script, no iframes, nothing slowing the page down.
  • Syncs never delete reviews. Your review history stays yours, even if a vendor or platform changes.
  • Adds no review star markup for your own reviews. Google’s guidelines make self-serving reviews ineligible for review stars, and name embedded Google review widgets as an example. We left it out on purpose.
  • Makes “leave a review” links and QR codes for counter cards, receipts and bags, each of which can carry its own placement tag.
  • Never gates. Every link and code goes straight to your Google review form, for every customer.

04 /Pricing

Quoted after
a free audit.

Every business starts in a different place, so we look first and quote second.

Engagement Typical market range (2026) East End Web
Ongoing review management Usually sold inside Google Business Profile management, which typically runs $400–$700 a month for one location Quoted per project after a free audit
One-time Google Business Profile optimization $250–$1,250 (typically $500–$850) Quoted after a free audit
Reviews as part of ongoing local SEO $500–$2,500 a month; most Long Island retainers $700–$1,500 Included in our local SEO work

Market ranges are typical 2026 pricing for small and local businesses. The free part is a website and online-presence audit, reviews included. Whoever you hire, ask how they get reviews: if the answer involves discounts, gifts or only asking happy customers, that’s a risk to your profile, not a strategy.

05 /Common questions

Reviews, answered
straight.

Still have one we haven’t answered? Just ask.

Can you remove bad reviews?

Only if they break Google’s rules. Nobody, including us, can delete a genuine customer’s negative review. We report reviews that violate Google’s policies, such as fake, conflict-of-interest, off-topic or harassing ones, and use the one appeal Google allows per review if it says no. For everything else, a calm, specific reply does more good.

Can we pay for or incentivize reviews?

No. Google prohibits offering payment, discounts, or free goods or services in exchange for any review, even an honest one. The FTC’s rule on fake reviews also bans buying reviews and offering incentives tied to a positive or negative sentiment. Ask every customer the same way, with nothing attached.

How do you ask for reviews without annoying customers?

One clear ask at the right moment, usually right after the job is finished or the order is picked up, with a direct link so leaving a review takes a minute. Texts go only to customers who agreed to hear from you, and counter cards and QR codes do the rest without anyone hovering. Google also says not to pressure customers on the premises or tell them what to write.

Do you reply for us?

Yes, if you want us to. We write replies in your voice, thank people by what they actually said, and check the difficult ones with you before they go up. You can approve every reply or only the hard ones.

What’s RevuPress?

RevuPress is a WordPress plugin we built. It pulls your Google reviews on a schedule, stores them in your own website’s database and shows them as plain HTML, so the review text is really in your page, with no third-party widget. It also makes review links and QR codes. It’s in early access and already running on real client sites.

Does it work if my site isn’t WordPress?

The review service does. Asking, replying, reporting and the monthly numbers all happen around your Google profile, whatever your website runs on. RevuPress itself is a WordPress plugin, so on Shopify or a custom site we’ll talk through other ways to show your reviews.

Asking only happy customers for reviews breaks Google’s policy outright. The FTC’s review rule doesn’t ban it by name, but the FTC says the practice could violate the FTC Act, and its guide for marketers says not to do it. This page is general information, not legal advice.
