Google Ads · Local Services Ads

Westhampton Beach, New York

Pay for leads.
Keep the account.

Local Services Ads put a verified business at the very top of Google and charge per lead, not per click. Search ads fill the gaps. We set both up in an account you own, track every call and form, and send a plain monthly report of what you spent and what it brought in, for businesses on Long Island and anywhere in the US. From $500 a month, plus your ad spend paid straight to Google.

Why the phone matters

“Missed calls may negatively affect your responsiveness,” and higher quality profiles “may rank higher and may also pay lower costs per lead.”
Google Local Services Help, “How Local Services Ads are ranked”

Your bid is only part of the auction. Reviews, photos, verification and how fast you pick up decide the rest, which is why we run ads alongside review management and missed-call text-back instead of on their own.

01 /How it works

Four steps, in
an account you own.

Setup takes a few weeks, most of it Google’s verification. Then it’s a monthly job, not a set-and-forget one.

01

Verify and set up.

The Google Ads account is created in your name with your payment method, and we manage it through an agency link you control. For Local Services Ads we submit the license, insurance and background-check paperwork, build the profile, add photos and set service areas and job types.

02

Track before you spend.

Google Analytics 4, call tracking and conversion goals go in first, with separate numbers for Local Services Ads and your Business Profile so the reports stay honest. If a landing page is needed, we build one: landing pages from $750.

03

Set the budget as a monthly number.

Local Services Ads stop when the monthly maximum is reached. Search campaigns can spend up to twice the daily budget on a busy day, so we set daily budgets from the monthly figure you agree to, and adjust for the season instead of leaving it the same all year.

04

Manage it every month.

Negative keywords, search-term reviews, AI Max controls so Google doesn’t rewrite your ads or send clicks to the wrong page, lead disputes on Local Services Ads, and a monthly report with dollars spent, leads and cost per lead. Google’s own terms require that report; we’d send it anyway.

02 /What’s included

Everything between
your budget and a booked job.

One fixed monthly fee. Your ad spend is separate and goes to Google.

Setup

  • Google Ads account in your name, linked to our agency account, never the other way round.
  • Local Services Ads verification: business, license, insurance and background checks submitted and followed up until the badge shows.
  • Profile, photos, service areas, job types and business hours set up and matched to your Google Business Profile.
  • Conversion tracking: GA4, call tracking, form goals, and a check that your site loads fast on a phone.
  • Search campaign built around the jobs you want, with negative keywords from day one and brand terms kept separate.
  • If you already run Local Services Ads: reports exported and archived before Google’s 2026 migration moves your account.

Every month

  • Budget pacing and seasonal changes, agreed with you as a monthly number.
  • Search-term review, new negatives, bid and location adjustments.
  • Lead review and disputes for Local Services Ads leads that shouldn’t have been charged.
  • Ad copy and landing-page checks, including anything Google’s automation changed without asking.
  • A plain report: dollars spent on Google, leads, cost per lead, and what we’re changing next month.

04 /Pricing

One monthly fee.
Never a cut of your spend.

Every price is a starting point. You get a written quote after a short call, and your ad budget is paid to Google, not to us.

Engagement Typical market range (2026) East End Web
Local Services Ads management $150–$1,000 a month for LSA-only management nationally; Long Island paid-ads fees typically $375–$1,500 a month From $500 a month, plus the per-lead cost paid to Google
Google Ads (Search) management $375–$1,500 a month as a set fee on Long Island, or 10–30% of ad spend From $500 a month, plus your ad spend paid to Google. Running both together starts at the same fee.
Account setup, conversion tracking and landing page plan $750–$1,000 one time on Long Island From $500
Dedicated landing page Varies widely From $750 (landing pages)

Market ranges are typical 2026 pricing published by Long Island and national agencies, not our prices. Your ad spend is separate: Long Island agencies commonly suggest $1,000 to $1,500 a month to start, and we set the number with you from what a booked job is worth. Full price list: our pricing.

05 /Common questions

Google Ads, answered
straight.

Still have one we haven’t answered? Just ask.

How much do Google Ads cost for a small business?

Two numbers. The ad spend goes to Google and depends on your market: in Suffolk County, Google Ads data for September 2025 to August 2026 puts the average cost per click at about $29 for “plumber near me” and $42 for “roofer near me”, while Local Services Ads charge per lead instead of per click. The management fee is ours, from $500 a month, never a percentage of your spend. Long Island agencies commonly suggest $1,000 to $1,500 a month in ad spend to start; we set the number from what a booked job is worth to you.

Should I run Local Services Ads or regular Google Ads?

If your category qualifies for Local Services Ads, start there. They sit at the top of the page, charge per valid lead rather than per click, and stop when your monthly budget is reached. Search ads make sense for jobs Local Services Ads don’t cover, for categories that aren’t eligible, and for high-value services where a click is worth paying for. Many businesses run both, with Search kept small and tightly controlled.

What is the Google Verified badge?

It is the badge shown on Local Services Ads for businesses that pass Google’s checks, which can include business registration, licensing, insurance and background checks depending on the category. In October 2025 it replaced the separate Google Guaranteed, Google Screened and License Verified badges, and Google discontinued the money-back guarantee that came with the old Google Guaranteed badge. Getting verified is part of our setup.

Who owns the ad account, and how are you paid?

You do. The Google Ads account is created in your name with your payment method, so ad spend goes straight to Google and the history stays with you if we ever part ways. We manage it through an agency link you can remove at any time. Our fee is fixed, from $500 a month, and every month you get a report showing exactly what was spent, how many leads came in and what each one cost.

Do ads improve my ranking on Google Maps?

No. Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking, so ads sit alongside the map pack rather than lifting you inside it. Local Services Ads do rank partly on your reviews, rating, photos and how quickly you answer the phone, which is why we pair them with review management and missed-call text-back. The organic work is what moves the map: see our local SEO.

What is changing with Local Services Ads in 2026?

Google began moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads in August 2026 as Performance Max campaigns with pay-per-lead goals, starting with home and storefront service businesses in the US and expanding through 2027. Your categories, locations, budgets, photos, lead history and verified status carry over, but historical performance reports do not, weekly budgets become daily budgets, and manual bidding goes away. We export your reports before migration and manage the new campaign in the Google Ads interface.
